It was a Southwinds Night at PNC Park

Saturday, August 22, 2009 was Southwinds Night at PNC Park!  Southwinds was choosen to participate in the Pittsburgh Pirates "Commitment to Community" night where $5 from every ticket purchased went directly back to Southwinds.  It was a picture perfect night for the 60 supporters that included individuals, staff, family members, Board Members and friends at the ball park that was topped off with a performance by KC & the Sunshine band!!  Thank you for supporting the individuals served by Southwinds!  Click on the link below to view pictures.

It was a hockey night at Southwinds

Thank you to Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby and the Crosby Family for choosing Southwinds!!
 
Each hockey season Sidney Crosby and his family purchase a suite at Mellon Arena and donate the seats to local charitable organizations. Southwinds, Inc. was once again invited to attend a Pens home game in the Crobsy Suite! On October 30th, seven of Southwinds’ individuals along with three staff members went to the game. They got goodie bags, met Iceberg and were treated like royalty. Everyone had a truly awesome time!! On behalf of the individuals and the staff at Southwinds, thank you Sidney Crosby and the Crosby family for opening your hearts to intellectually and developmentally disabled adults by inviting a couple of avid hockey fans to watch a game in person!!
